Shannon Beador, who joined the cast of The Real Housewives of Orange County in Season 9, also gave in to her stressful life and started overeating, and as a result, she gained weight.

The mother of three gained as much as 40 lbs or 18.14 kgs within just a few months. But, cheers to her, she lost the weight following stability in her life after two years. But, how did she lose weight? 30 Minutes of Exercise Per Day

Shannon’s fitness journey started with a thirty minutes workout every other day. The medical doctor also recommends working out; exercising for at least 150 minutes per week.

Lofton states that huffing and puffing during workouts is a good sign. It is a sign that your heart is in the aerobic zone, which is one of the key factors for weight loss.

While Shannon believes in consuming supplements to increase the results of weight loss, Holly believes otherwise. What Holly believes is intaking a balanced diet.

Meal replacement shakes brings good only if taken occasionally. Holly states that if it contains vitamins and minerals, you can try it.

Cupping Therapy

Last but not least, the proud mother of three beautiful girls also belives that the cupping technique would help her lose weight. But, it’s of no use for weight loss.

According to Holly, the director of the medical weight-management at NYU Langone Health, cupping will only help your muscles recover and nothing more.

Shannon Learned Diet is Key

One thing Shannon learned during her weight loss journey is that Diet is key. It’s okay if you lift less, but if you cheat on your diet, you’ll never change.

It’s what you put into your body.

You can eat whatever you like whenever you like but always remember to put the right things in. There’s a famous proverb stating that it’s 80% diet and 20% workout. But, from her experience, she genuinely feels that it’s 90% or more diet. Why, you say?

Well, to the surprise of Shannon, she lost the last bit of weight when she skipped two weeks of exercise. Hence, eating clean is the key to weight loss!

If you eat clean, you are going to lose weight. And lose 40 pounds. When you start to see the results, then it’s like more motivation. Then you are just going to keep going.

Following her incredible weight loss journey, Shannon took the principles she used during her journey and used it in her QVC food line, Real for Real Cuisine.

You can have a protein, you can have a vegetable, and you can even have a little bit of starch. And have a satisfying and flavorful meal.

Shannon’s 40 lbs Weight Loss Revelation

At her highest, Shannon Beador was 172.2 lbs or 78.1 kg but, two years later, she slender down to around 130 lbs losing as much as 40 lbs or 18.14 kg during her weight loss journey.

The revelation came on July 2019, when US Magazine interviewed Beador. The mother of three daughters revealed that she lost 40 pounds but had a lot of fun along the way.

Shannon also opened up about her broken marriage and that she had had two years of hell starting 2017. But, now she’s all OK and rocking her new fit look.

The RHOC star said she realized that the hardest work was changing the insides and getting to the mental place where she knows she’s gonna be OK. In regard to her mental battle, her war against her weight was just a lot easier.

Following this, Beador again had a chance to speak with the same magazine’s reporter Brody Brown on Monday, August 5, 2019, where she revealed her secrets to weight loss. Her slim down secret is, wait for it, a changed attitude and perspective.

I always would start to lose weight and then I would gain it right back.

Shannon, hence, realized that she has to stop playing around and make a commitment to lose weight. One day, she woke up and she’s like ‘Enough, enough excuses.’ She thought to herself that it’s her life and she wants to be as healthy as she can.

The Ex-Housewife star remembered that she had 40% of body fat and it was really unhealthy. And so, began her weight loss journey!

Before all this, the TV personality hinted about her weight loss back on January 23, 2019, when she took to her Instagram to share a photo of her skinnier self. In addition to showing us her fit self, she also alerted her fans about the coming season of RHOC.

Even before her Instagram post, she had already revealed that she was more than halfway towards her weight loss goal. It was with Andy Cohen in 2017 in the Season 12 Reunion show that Beador revealed she had already lost as much as 25 lbs and still had 15 lbs to go to reach her fitness goal.

Cause of Shannon’s Weight Gain

As already mentioned, Shannon gained weight due to stress eating. In 2017, her life was in turmoil as her former husband David Beador had cheated on her and she got into bad terms with one of her friends and RHOC co-cast, Vicki Gunvalson.

David and Shannon separated back in 2017 before finally finalizing their divorce in April 2019. During her show’s twelfth season premiere, the reality star revealed that the allegations put up against her husband caused her to overeat and drink more, which ultimately played a huge role in her gaining weight. She also went to reveal that her body embarrassed her after her 40 lbs weight gain.

Following her separation and weight loss journey, she opened up to Brody Brown about her ex-husband.

I shared 20 years with a man and the fact that he has found someone within months of leaving me is devastating.

Well, at first, she couldn’t hold herself in and started overeating causing her to gain 40 lbs of body fat. But, after a changed perspective, she couldn’t be more happier.

Weight Gain Termed Plastic Surgery?

Shannon’s 40 lbs weight gain was termed plastic surgery by a number of her fans. But, to tell you the truth, it’s nothing more than a plain simple weight gain.

Beador talks in place of every woman out there and states that gaining and losing weight is a real struggle that most women have or will face at some point in their lives. And, that’s what she faced during her low time.

What Compelled Beador to Lose Weight?

In an episode of RHOC around July 2017, Beador and wellness, health, fitness, and diet expert Dr. Tim Ramirez sat together to have a chat. During that episode, the mother of three stripped down to show what she had gained.

The holistic specialist told Beador it wasn’t the weight she should be concerned about, but it was the body fat, which was 40% at the time. He also told Shannon that she had fat equivalent to almost half of her body.

40 percent of body fat meant Beador looking at diabetes and heart attack including other cardiovascular diseases.

During the same episode, Beador admitted that she had gained so much weight in just a year. She also revealed that she didn’t want to hurt her former partner, David because both of them had been through a lot.

In some episodes afterward, the Real for Real Cuisine host cried about not knowing how to let herself go. She also shed tears for when she looked at the mirror, she didn’t know who she was so, she stopped looking.

I don’t look because I don’t know who it is.

After so many ups and downs in her thoughts, she finally thought about letting it all go and hence, started losing weight since 2018. Fast forward to 2019, she is rocking her new sexier look and you guys all know the secret.

Though her romantic relationship with her partner vanished, Shannon got back into good terms with Vicki. Similarly, for her romantic life, she has found someone new in her life, John Janssen. They seem quite happy together and that’s about it for her.

After her separation with David, she and her ex battled it out for properties in the Orange Country Superior Court. On Thursday, April 25, the court passed its judgment.

For divorce settlement, Shannon Beador received a whopping $1.4 million from her estranged husband making her net worth soar to $20 million. In addition, she will also receive $7,065 per month in spousal support and $2,935 monthly for child support making it $10 thousand every month for ten years.

While talking to LifeandStyleMag, Shannon confessed that she would eat all the cakes and candies during the up and coming holiday events. But, she thinks it’s okay to divulge on delicacies because she knows she will make good choices other days.
